Director’s Note

Bringing Steel Magnolias to life has been a true labor of love. This play asks for honesty, courage, laughter, and vulnerability -and this cast met every moment with incredible hard work, versatility, and heart. Each actor showed remarkable willingness to share their emotions so fully through their characters, trusting one another and the story in a way that made the rehearsal room, and now the stage, something truly special. Watching these women grow, connect, and support each other has been a privilege.
To our dedicated crew, thank you for the countless hours, problem-solving, and creativity that happen both seen and unseen. Your commitment is the backbone of this production, and this show simply would not exist without you.
I am also deeply grateful to my family and friends who support me through long rehearsals, late nights, and endless conversations about theater. Your ongoing encouragement, patience, and belief in me truly allows me to do what I love.
Thank you all for being part of this journey and for sharing Steel Magnolias with us. I hope this story makes you laugh, cry, and leave the theater feeling the power of connection, resilience, and love.
– Kimberly Dorman, Director
