Sky Performing Arts - After Dark

This part of our site contains content that may not be suitable for all audiences.
But if you like edgy, provocative, thought-provoking, and boundary-pushing content, you've found us!
Sky: after dark was created by a small group of women who want to offer alternative content that celebrates diversity and directly benefits our local community.

Our next fund-raising venture is coming to the Wagner for a 2-show run of Arthur Miller's The Crucible, on April 25 & May 2, 2026.

This story of the Salem witch trials is full of assumptions, accusations, false-imprisonment and "othering". Written during the McCarthy era, this tale echoes may issues occurring today.
As with all After Dark productions, this is a fundraiser. All profits will go to the Washington Immigrant Solidarity Network to support our friends and neighbors.

After Dark started this important work back in February 2025. We opened with a one-night only production of The Vagina Monologues. The profits from this performance went directly to the Monroe Gospel Women's Mission. Through targeted marketing and almost no budget, we were able to get a fantastic cast, visionary director and incredible (and incredibly supportive) audience for our single show.
Thanks to our patrons' support, we contributed a significant amount to our local shelter. And that's what it's all about. We're proud of what we were able to accomplish with a single show to benefit our community.
In June 2025 we continued the fundraising efforts and staged a benefit for Pride with a collection of short plays called: Standing on Ceremony. We held two performances: one at Red Curtain, Marysville and one at Wagner Performing Arts Center, Monroe. Both shows were able to benefit local charities that serve and support the gay community.
Standing on Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays is a collection of nine 10-minute plays written before marriage was legal and equal for all people. This poignant and touching production will harken back to those times and remind us all that LOVE IS LOVE, and equality matters.
