How it all started...
Sky Performing Arts combined Off The Wall and Take A Bough in 2005. They were both long standing community theatres here in Monroe, WA. Off the Wall was the longest running community theatre, going back to the 1970s. This merge made sense because our groups were sharing people, space, resources and materials so we decided it was best for both to become one. Early Sky Performing Arts productions were in the building that housed the co-op school in the Tye Industrial Park.

Shows produced during this period included Wind in the Willows, Spoon River Anthology, Miracle Worker & The Glass Menagerie (pictured below).

Fast-forward to today, we are now producing two major shows each year under the Sky Performing Arts "mainstage" committee. Two summer camps for aspiring young performers. And multiple ad-hoc community-focused fund-raiser shows under our "After Dark" banner. Our growth is due to the passion and dedication of our volunteers, and the increasing interest from the community which helps support additional projects to bring live productions to Monroe.
If you'd like to get involved, we want you! Just email us or follow us on socials to join the fun.
All skills and abilities encouraged to join.

SPAntaneous: Sky Performing Arts' Improvisation Group
Join us Wednesdays
7-9 pm @ Wagner Performing Arts Center
We workout with short and long formats to hone our skills and stretch our creativity. Improv is great as a performance art, but also excellent for any actor to polish teamwork, staying present, and keeping agile. We have to be quick and clever as we think fast and spit out lines! All levels of experience and ability welcome, ages teen and up. For information, email skyperformingarts.spa@gmail.com
